A child has died after being hit by a car in a church car park in Melbourne's east.
Police believe the child was hit in the car park near Springfield Road in Blackburn North about 6.45pm.
Paramedics treated the child but they died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle stopped to assist the child and is speaking with police.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
