Chihuahua puppies revived with Narcan after suffering overdoses on LI

Two adorable Chihuahua puppies named Freddy and Tonto suffered a cocaine overdose and had to be brought back to life with Narcan on Long Island – and now their owner has been charged, authorities said Friday.

The 15-week-old male pups were suffering from dire symptoms of a coke OD at a local hospital when Suffolk County SPCA officers responded Thursday, said Roy Gross, chief of the Suffolk County SPCA, in a statement.

An investigation determined that the canine duo – shown in a photo released by the SPCA – had also consumed fentanyl, Gross said.

The overdose-reversing drug Narcan was administered to savey them, officials said.

Without the emergency treatment, the illicit drugs could have been lethal for the dogs, according to the chief.

The pups’ owner, Adam Dziomba, 53, of Port Jefferson Station, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty, according to the SPCA.

He was due to appear in First District Court on Friday.
