CHICAGO (WLS) — Four people were injured, including a child, in a shooting in Auburn Gresham Wednesday afternoon.
Chicago police said a group of people were on the sidewalk near 81st and Throop when a black vehicle pulled up with several people inside. The passengers got out of the car and opened fire.
The Chicago Fire Department said there were at least two shooting scenes along 81st Street, at 81st and Elizabeth and 81st and Ashland.

Police said a 2-year-old boy was struck in the foot and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition; a 23-year-old woman was struck multiple times and was taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition; a 29-year-old man was struck in the foot and taken to Christ Hospital in good condition; and a 62-year-old man was struck in the back and was taken to an unnamed hospital where his condition is stable.
Police said they believe the younger man and woman are the child’s parents.
No one is currently in custody, and an investigation by Chicago police is ongoing. CPD is asking anyone with private surveillance cameras that may have captured this incident to contact them.
