3 teens shot in Edgewater, CFD says

Three teens were shot and seriously injured in a Chicago shooting in Edgewater on West Thorndale Avenue, fire officials said.

CHICAGO (WLS) — Three CPS students were shot, one fatally, Wednesday afternoon on the city’s North Side.

The three victims were in the 1200 block of West Thorndale Avenue when they were shot from offenders in a passing vehicle, officials said.

Two of the victims were taken to St. Francis hospital and the third victim was taken to Illinois Masonic hospital. One of the surviving victims remains in critical condition and the other is stable, CPD Superintendent Larry Snelling said.

No further information about the shooting and the victims’ identities were immediately available.
