One lucky Aussie has kicked off 2025 as a newly minted multi-millionaire after a massive Powerball win.

The mystery division one winner took home a whopping $20,809,257.29 from Thursday night’s draw.

Their entry had all seven winning numbers plus the all-important Powerball.

Two second division winners both pocketed $241,154.45 while 57 third division winners are now $10,519.80 richer.

The winning numbers for draw 1494 are 21, 27, 9, 22, 15, 18 and 8. The Powerball was  19.

The latest Powerball win comes three Sydneysiders shared a $12m jackpot last month prior to Christmas.

The Lott recorded 422 division one winners in 2024, including 19 Powerball entries which pocketed more than $758 million in prize money.

During this time, Powerball offered a $200million jackpot, the biggest in Australian history, and an Adelaide man who won $150million became the nation’s biggest individual lottery winner.

Of the 19 Powerball division one winning entries in 2024, eight were from NSW, six in Victoria, three in Queensland and one each in South Australia and Western Australia.

The next Powerball jackpot on January 9 is worth $4million.
