Channel 10 is thrown into chaos as The Project disappears from screens across the country and viewers aren't happy: 'What a dog's dinner!'

The Project viewers were left shocked on Wednesday night as the Channel Ten news show suddenly cut transmission.

Fans at home were enjoying the chat show when it ceased airing out of nowhere as talent and crew were forced to ‘evacuate the building’.

A post shared to X by the program revealed a fire alarm was set off in the studio, bringing the show to a grinding halt.

The Project will return to TV at 7:10pm.

More to come.
