A predator has been captured on video brazenly attacking a woman and child while they were walking along an Adelaide road.

Police are continuing their search for the man following the assault in Clearview about 6pm on Sunday.

CCTV footage obtained by 9News shows the woman pushing the child on a tricycle along Clearview Crescent before a hooded man following the woman grabs her as she stepped onto the road.

She struggled and managed to break free, with the man fleeing the scene.

Despite extensive searches, the attacker remains at large five days later.

Investigators have released CCTV footage of a suspect, described as a man wearing a green hoodie and pyjama pants, who was seen on the street where the assault occurred.

“It’s a bit scary to think that you can’t even walk along the street … especially with a young child,” one local resident said 

“I hope they will find that guy … this is a very peaceful place … and I wasn’t expecting that would happen in this area, especially with a woman with a child in the pram,” another added.

The incident occurred in a residential area with a large number of families with young children, and a playground located just over 100 metres from the site of the assault. 

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
