Cassie has no qualms about showing skin in her Skims.
“I was honestly just so excited to be asked to be a part of [it], it barely crossed my mind,” the “Me And U” singer, who stars in Kim Kardashian’s latest Skims ads, tells Page Six Style.
“I’ve also come to a place of loving my body for all that it’s done for me and my family and embracing it for what it is. I think that this campaign celebrates that.”
Cassie, 36, says it was “so fun” modeling the new Skims bras alongside the likes of Brooke Shields, Chelsea Handler and Juliette Lewis.
“The shoot day was on my birthday, and I had a wild day of travel, but I made it, and everyone was great to work with,” she recalls. “My whole family came, it was a really nice day.”
The “Step Up 2: The Streets” star, who dated Sean “Diddy” Combs for more than a decade, now shares a duo young daughters with husband Alex Fine: Sunny Cinco, 1, and Frankie Stone, 2.
And despite having her hands full at home, Cassie says she always makes an effort to wear something more stylish than sweats.
“I like to wear certain things around the house even if it’s not a sexy time. Nothing crazy, maybe just a bra and boxers or a romper. It just makes me carry myself different and feel a different confidence,” she explains.
“[Alex and I] also make sure to carve out time with each other. It’s difficult with two toddlers, but we make it work. It’s just sexy no matter what when we get that time, because we have to work for it!”
When she wants to slip into a sultry state of mind, Cassie says she reaches for “anything tight to the body” — like the Skims Soft Smoothing T-Shirt ($52) and Shorts ($32) she wore while running around New York Fashion Week, where she was spotted front row at multiple shows and even hit the runway herself for The Blonds.
“I haven’t walked in years, so I was nervous right before I walked out,” she says of her catwalk cameo. “But it went great, and I had so much fun with everyone. It was the perfect way to end a crazy week.”
