A driver has plunged his car into a pool at a Victorian private school.
The grandfather of a student at Haileybury College accidentally reversed through the school’s aquatic centre doors and landed his Silver RAV4 wagon into the swimming pool at 8.15am on Friday.
The man is believed to be 80 years old and from Springvale.
He was able to get out of the wreck with the help of two staff members and was taken to hospital for observation.

No one was in the pool at the time of the incident, police confirmed.
The car remained inside the pool on Friday morning, with swim lessons cancelled for the day.
Haileybury College, in Melbourne’s south-east, is the state’s largest private school.
