A nine-week-old baby has been found dead at a home with his death being treated as suspicious.

The baby boy was found dead at a property on Larbonya Crescent at Capalaba, south-east of Brisbane, on Sunday.

‘Police are investigating the sudden death of an infant,’ Queensland Police spokesman said.

‘Officers were called to an address in south-east Brisbane after a nine-week-old was located deceased on the property.

‘Investigations into the circumstances of the boy’s death are ongoing.’ 

Emergency services are understood to have visited the property a week earlier.

An investigation has been launched with the death being treated as suspicious.
