His family says he was walking back to his hotel in Sheboygan Falls when he was killed, but it’s not clear who did it or why.

Police said they responded just after midnight Wednesday and found a man who had been shot in a drive-by shooting. He died at the scene.

He was identified as Giovanni Michael Robinson by his family.

His family said Robinson was a new father and was visiting the area from Canada on a golf trip.

“I was pretty shocked, I mean this is a small little community and we’re all really close so it just really shocked me,” local resident Jill Schuessler said.

His family said Robinson celebrated his first-ever hole in one at a nearby golf course on Tuesday.
