Cam Thomas’ latest injury will have revealing impact on his Nets teammates

First came Cam Thomas’ season-ending injury. Now comes the fallout.

Thomas’ third hamstring injury has him essentially ruled out for the rest of the regular season, and has robbed the Nets of their leading scorer. They’ll miss not just his ability to get buckets and get to the line, but his gravity that warped opposing defenses and made life easier on his teammates.

But what does it mean now for those same Brooklyn teammates, with 14 games left on the schedule? How does Thomas’ absence change roles and rotations?

Unfortunately for Brooklyn, this isn’t the first time they’re going to have to deal with an extended absence by Thomas, who has had an injury-riddled campaign. But the Nets have gone through several different iterations over the course of this rebuilding season. Dennis Schröder and Dorian Finney-Smith were on the team the first time he went down. Ben Simmons was here the second.
