Buster Murdaugh's On-Camera Reaction To Dad Alex's Guilty Verdict Is Worlds Apart From What You'd Think

On March 2, former South Carolina lawyer Alex Murdaugh was found guilty of murdering his wife, Margaret Murdaugh and son Paul Murdaugh. The jury’s conviction, which was reached in 45 minutes, resulted in an emotionless reaction from the disgraced attorney — who had previously sobbed during his testimony the week prior. Alex wasn’t the only one to showcase a neutral front. While the jury revealed the news, Alex’s son Buster — who sat a few rows behind his father — sat motionless as he looked on. According to courtroom footage, his only reaction was placing his hand on his face.

However, according to a source from the New York Post, Buster lost composure after leaving the courtroom. “Buster held up pretty well until the cameras were off him — but then he collapsed,” a source told the news outlet. “He was crying uncontrollably. The uncles [Alex’s brothers, John Marvin Murdaugh and Randy Murdaugh] finally got him into a car.” Alex’s recent guilty murder conviction is just the start of his legal troubles. The former powerful lawyer is set to go to trial for his 99 separate financial-based charges.
