Police have arrested a driver who allegedly rammed other vehicles during school pick-up on the NSW Central Coast in a drama-packed end to a pursuit.

Footage showed the allegedly stolen silver wagon as it appeared to hit the back of a bus in Gosford before police surrounded the car with their guns drawn.

The driver kept going and shunted another car.

A mother and child who were inside the vehicle appeared to be shaken but unhurt.

The driver got as far as the footpath and appeared to run away before being tackled by police.

Students on their way home from Gosford High School had a front-row seat to the arrest.

The car had allegedly been stolen from East Gosford.

A 22-year-old is in custody and a long list of charges is expected.
