A young Bruce Lehrmann was asked if he was ever tempted to exploit his position as a political staffer in a recently resurfaced interview.
The short clip, obtained by Daily Mail Australia, shows Lehrmann being stopped by Beau Ryan during his segment ‘Beau Knows’ on Channel Nine’s The Footy Show.
When asked what he did for work, the then-Liberal staffer said he was ‘in politics’.
‘Have you ever exploited the role you’re in, in government?’ Ryan asked to which Lehrmann quickly replied: ‘Nah, nah mate, not allowed to do that stuff’.
But Ryan continued his line of questioning, asking the staffer ‘what would happen if you accidentally pulled the wrong credit card out?’
A smiling Lehrmann appeared to consider this before joking: ‘Well, that’s accidental, I suppose’.
‘What, for like massages and things like that?’ Ryan shot back.
‘You know,’ the staffer said with a laugh.

Lehrmann, 29, was formerly employed as a ministerial staffer in the Parliament House office of Liberal Senator Linda Reynolds.
He was found to have raped former Liberals staffer Brittany Higgins on the balance of probabilities in a civil court after he launched separate defamation actions against Network Ten and Lisa Wilkinson over an interview with Ms Higgins on The Project.
He is currently appealing that decision.
When Daily Mail Australia contacted Lehrmann’s legal team about the clip, they did not offer a statement on the dialogue.
Beau Ryan’s representatives have also been contacted for comment.
