Trump Hints at Potential Breakthrough with Iran

***TRUMP TO ADDRESS THE NATION AT 10 PM EST***

And away we go.

So three days is within the two weeks.

And I guess those B-2s crossing over to Guam, on their way were a decoy.

I’ll update as we know more. Supposedly, the White House had called a lid, but all things considered, they might have something to say.

Prayers up for the safety of our troops in the area.

Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan, with Fordow being the big dog everyone was worried about because there were some estimates that the inner guts of that facility were some 90 meters deep.

Israel said Trump let them know that we were going in as one would imagine:

Why it matters: Trump’s decision to intervene directly in support of Israel’s effort to dismantle Iran’s nuclear program marks a historic escalation in the Middle East.

  • It’s an intervention fraught with risks and uncertainty — one that Trump and many of his predecessors had sought to avoid, including through diplomacy with Iran.
  • The attack, which came on the ninth night of the unprecedented war between Israel and Iran, could provoke retaliation from Tehran against U.S. troops and military installations across the region.

Behind the scenes: Trump met with his national security team in the White House Situation Room on Saturday evening.

  • An Israeli official said Israel was notified by the Trump administration in advance of the U.S. strikes in Iran.

Maybe the Ayatollah shouldn’t have been so quick to talk smack.

If you’ll remember, it was just a couple of days ago he threw Trump’s demands back at him.

MORE: Here’s a quick recap of what was in the IAEA report that provoked the current situation. Time had literally run out for safely prodding the Iranians to give things up.

Key items:

•Iran can convert its current stock of 60 percent enriched uranium into 233 kg of WGU in three weeks at the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP), enough for 9 nuclear weapons, taken as 25 kg of weapon-grade uranium (WGU) per weapon.

•Iran has no civilian use or justification for its production of 60 percent enriched uranium, particularly at the level of hundreds of kilograms. Its rush to make much more, quickly depleting its stock of near 20 percent enriched uranium, which has a civilian use in research reactors.

– From the IAEA report: “The significantly increased production and accumulation of highly enriched uranium by Iran, the only non-nuclear-weapon State to produce such nuclear material, is of serious concern.”

Jennifer Griffin on Fox is saying in all her years at the Pentagon she has

Never seen such operational security.’

Nothing leaked.

‘No other country in the world could have carried off what happened tonight.’

This is spectacular.

WELP:

More on the address

MORE: John Thune sends that ‘the regime in Iran has rejected all pathways to peace. Stand with President Trump and the troops who stand in harm’s way.’

And here is Griffin’s statement on the operational security, which is such a testament to Hegseth and the General who planned this operation. Kudos all around on AMAZING OpSec

Here’s some information on that Isfahan site: Good call to smack the crap out of that, too.

While the attacks on Fordo and Natanz were expected, Isfahan was actually the more complex, and less discussed, target. Laboratories there did work on how to convert uranium into the form that would be needed to actually produce a weapon. And most of the near-bomb-grade fuel, enriched to 60 percent, was in specialty casks, deep inside one of the many laboratories and storage sites. Their locations were known by international inspectors, at least until a few weeks ago. It was unclear whether Iran had moved those supplies, as some Iranian officials suggested, in recent days.

Thomas Massie and Ro Kanna are already screaming this was unconstitutional and insisting everyone get back to D.C. to vote on their War Powers Act bill that would have restricted Trump’s action. Good luck with that, as presidents have wide latitude when the safety of American troops is in doubt, and considering what’s been happening over the past two weeks and the formerly heightened state of Iran’s nuclear program, Trump had every right in the world to hit these sites and has shown tremendous patience giving the Iranians the rope to hang themselves with.

Johnson was, of course, in on it.

Schweet.

B-2s from Whiteman AFB had left their base earlier in the week, supposedly because they were doing base maintenance that required the runways to be closed, so they flew the birds out. Guess what ones they used in the strike?

HAH!

Israel has closed the beaches down, and general recreational activities to restrict the movement of civilians (workplaces and schools closed as well)  Trey Yingst is reporting many folks are moving to shelters in anticipation of an Iranian response. They’ve declared a national emergency and directed everyone to obey the instructions on the national website. They’re also waiting on an IDF statement.

So much speculation on what’s next. Where does this go? It’s going to be so interesting to hear what the president has to say, but what does the ayatollah do? Lash out? Activate their sleeper cells here?

Speaker Johnson says ‘this should remind our enemies and allies that President Trump means what he said.’

Complete silence out of the Democratic leadership.

UPDATE:  Hannity is saying he talked to Trump and they used SIX of those monster bunker busters on the Fordow site and THIRTY Tomahawks on the other two. Holy BIG BADDA BOOM.
