BREAKING: TRUMP REPORTEDLY SHOT AT PA RALLY

SEE BELOW FOR UPDATES

A plane crashed at an intersection near the Roosevelt Mall in Philadelphia on Friday night just after 6 p.m. local time. The plane reportedly climbed to an altitude of 1,600 feet after departing Northeast Philadelphia Airport before plummeting to the ground around 30 seconds into the flight.

People are sharing videos from their surveillance cameras on social media.

The plane came in fast and hot and caused a massive explosion.

Multiple fires are burning, and a house is reportedly on fire.

A reporter from WTXF described it as “multiple fireballs everywhere.”

This is an unconfirmed report about the plane:

WTFX reports that the plane was a medical flight with two doctors, two pilots, a patient, and a family member onboard, and that all perished in the crash.  It was reportedly en route to Springfield, Missouri.

The FAA reports that only two people were onboard.

It’s important to note that anytime there’s an accident like this, there will be conflicting information before we get confirmation of the details.

Local media is speculating that ice on the wings could have been a problem, but a pilot I spoke with said that it’s too warm for that to have been the issue.

This crash comes just days after the catastrophic crash between an American Eagle jet and an Army Black Hawk helicopter that left 67 people dead on Wednesday.

Update 7:35 p.m.: CNN reports that the Lear 55 twin-engine jet may have been registered in Mexico. It’s being reported that the plane descended at an astounding 11,000 feet per minute.

CBS Philly is reporting that there are several “injuries” on the ground, with multiple homes on fire. Update: They’ve now updated that to say there are fatalities on the ground.

Fox reports that a medical oxygen tank was found about a quarter of a mile from the wreckage.

We have new footage of the moment of impact.

From FlightAware:

Transportation Sec. Sean Duffy confirmed that there were six people on the flight.

FlightAware shows the trajectory and flight history of the Mexican-registered plane.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
