Boyfriend desperate for fence tips after catching 'old perv' staring at his girlfriend

A boyfriend has pleaded for some ‘creative fencing tips’ after catching his ‘creepy’ neighbour perving on his girlfriend as she lay by the pool. 

Jack, from Australia, said he has caught the man who is ‘in his 70s’ staring at his partner as she sunbakes ‘on multiple occasions’ and wants to block his view.

He explained he had made ‘strong’ eye contact with the nosy neighbour to let him know he had been caught out, but it didn’t work.

‘He just pretended to be looking at something in his garden, but we have caught him staring since,’ he said.

When he ‘confronted him’ face to face the man just shuffled inside and complained to his son, who came out and told Jack he was ‘making it all up’. 

Jack shared a picture of his backyard, which is built a few metres below the homes on the left hand side of the block.

The ‘pervy’ neighbour’s home is on the corner of his block – but looks over the entire yard.

Jack explained his girlfriend now feels uncomfortable heading out into the yard.

‘Whenever he hears a splash or the pool gate shut he comes out,’ Jack said.

He explained the ‘best solution’ would be for another neighbour to grow some plant, obstructing the ‘old creep’s view’ but he doesn’t feel like he can ask him to do that.

He said he had thought about using a screen to obstruct the view but it would just block the sun from the pool.

Jack posted his plea on Reddit and people were quick to come up with suggestions.

One said he could ask his neighbours to ‘add a fence topper’.

‘If you pay for it they are probably more likely to go for it and it would definitely block the guy’s view,’ they said.

‘Set up mirrors to direct the sunlight to where he watches from. Kinda hard to stare at the sun,’ said another.

Another person said Jack should film the old man if he doesn’t stop – and put a sign which reads ‘stop perving on my girlfriend’ in his front yard where everyone can see.

Others said the family should try to ‘scare the creep off’.

‘You should go out there in the nude, it won’t take long for him to lose interest,’ one person said. 

‘It’s time to ruin the view with an all men thong party – underwear or footwear – doesn’t really matter,’ another laughed.

Some said Jack and his partner need to knock on the neighbour’s door again, ask him to stop and explain it is sexual harassment.

‘Then if he doesn’t just film him and take it to A Current Affair,’ added another.
