A young boy who sparked a large-scale search across a popular Gold Coast beachside suburb in Queensland has been found.
The boy 8, was last seen travelling on a scooter northbound along the Esplanade between the Burleigh Heads Surf Club and the North Burleigh Surf Club around 8am Wednesday.
The boy had been riding his scooter ahead of his parents before he vanished from their sight in a matter of seconds, prompting Queensland Police to launch an urgent public appeal.

A public appeal from Queensland Police attracted more than 1,800 online shares within the first 30 minutes of being posted.
Police also released a grainy CCTV image of the boy riding his orange scooter along a footpath shortly before he went missing.
