Boy, two, is ‘taken by a man and a woman’ as cops issue urgent amber alert

Police are desperately appealing for help to locate a two-year-old boy who was kidnapped from a family member in broad daylight at a popular holiday hotspot. 

Jax Wilson was taken on Little Street, in Coffs Harbour on the NSW north coast ,just after 2pm on Friday. 

Officers were told the boy was picked up by a man and a woman who are believed to be known to the toddler.

The boy was abducted by the man and woman at Little Street, in Coffs Harbour (pictured stock image) on the NSW north coast

After they took Jax, the pair then drove off in a black 1996 Volkswagen Sedan. 

The vehicle has Victorian registration plates OAH 707. 

NSW Police have since issued an Amber Alert, which means a major search has been launched. 

Jax is white and has blonde hair and blue eyes. He is around 70cm tall. 

The two-year-old boy was last seen wearing a coloured shirt and a pair of brown shorts.
