An Aussie family is reeling after a ‘loving’ and ‘caring’ 15-year-old boy took his own life just days before the school term started.

Jessie Wareham died on Australia Day, four days before he was due to return to St Augustine’s College in Kyabram in regional Victoria.

Family friend Irene Wells, who has started a GoFundMe for Jessie’s parents Jasmine and Allan, said the tight-knit community was heartbroken.

‘I feel her pain, no words no amount of praying, no amount of friendship can bring back our beautiful loving caring handsome Jessie,’ she wrote.

‘Jasmine will never feel Jessies touch, kiss, love or his precious breath in her lifetime.

‘Jessie had so much to live for and so much to offer. We all need to be kind to everyone.’

Ms Wells said Jessie had already expressed interest in following in his mum’s footsteps, who works as a masseuse.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted St Augustine’s College for comment.
