A 14-year-old boy has died after falling off an e-bike in Sydney on Thursday

A teenage boy has died after he fell from an e-bike in Sydney’s south.

Emergency services arrived at Broe Avenue in Arncliffe, near the city’s Airport, at 2.45pm on Thursday.

NSW Police confirmed medical workers found the boy, 14, with serious injuries upon arrival after he fell off his e-bike. 

He was rushed to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a critical condition after being treated at the scene but doctors were unable to revive him and the boy died in the evening. 

The boy, believed to be middle eastern, has yet to be formally identified. 

Police have since established a crime scene in Arncliffe and commenced an investigation into the cause of the incident .

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
