Two men are in hospital after a violent brawl broke out between two groups near the Continental Hotel on Point Nepean Road in Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula at 2am Friday

Two men are in hospital and police are now investigating after a wild brawl broke out following a night of Boxing Day celebrations. 

The fight began on Point Nepean Road in the heart of Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula at 2am Friday morning. 

The two injured have non-life threatening injuries after the violent fight broke out amongst two groups of men. 

Victorian Police said in a statement the two groups launched into the wild brawl near the Continental Hotel and that their ‘investigation remains ongoing’.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson confirmed that a man suffering upper and lower-body injuries had been taken to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition.

Police have urged anyone with information about what happened of CCTV of the fight itself to contact them immediately.
