The body of a man has been pulled from the water on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The swimmer, believed to be in his 50s, was spotted in trouble near Newport Beach just before 10am.

Surf Life Saving, police, Marine Rescue and the Westpac helicopter were called, finding the man’s body at 11.30am.

Police said a report would be prepared for the coroner.
