Highway patrol officers nicknamed the vehicle ‘The Valiant’, a nod to its Chrysler heritage and sketchy reliability.
The factory-fresh ‘police pack’ BMW vehicles are prepped for emergency equipment installation, with an upgraded electrical system and high-performance brakes included.
Additionally, the BMW X5 provides officers with an enhanced vantage point of the traffic ahead, making it easier to identify drivers using mobile phones or passengers not wearing seatbelts.
The elevated seating position of the BMW X5 also improves officers’ safety in the event of a T-bone collision with a red-light runner, as they are seated higher than they would be in a lower-slung sedan.
