Sydney Airport’s lost property items are going under the hammer for a yearly charity auction, with a wedding dress one of the more unusual left unclaimed.
Many of the 2,500 items up for grabs are what you’d expect to find in an airport lost-and-found, including tech, jewellery, watches and hundreds of sunglasses.
But from today until May 12, discerning bidders can also snap up some more unusual airport finds in the online auction.
The stranger items left behind at the airport also include an autographed photo of Lionel Messi, a Darth Vader Helmet and a leaf blower.
The auction, run by Theodore Bruce Auctioneers, includes more than 150 laptops, and more than 300 headphones or earbuds.
There are over 500 pieces of jewellery and watches.
More than 120 bottles of alcohol never made it back home from the duty-free section.

The bidding started at $10 for most items but the auction has already seen plenty of interest with some items
Last year Sydney Airport reunited more than 5,000 pieces of lost property with their owners.
“The Sydney Airport Lost Property Auction is one of our most popular events with bidders from across the country getting involved,” Theodore Bruce Auctioneers director, Casi Prischl said.
”There are lots of hot items up for grabs this year, including laptops, headphones, tablets, bottles of brand-new perfume and some beautiful pieces of jewellery.
Organisers made it clear that any lost bags that are being handled by airlines are not included in the auction.

“Anyone searching for lost baggage should contact their airline directly,” they said.
The money raised in the auction will go to the Harding Miller Education Foundation, which gives scholarships to high school girls who are experiencing disadvantage.
