A man was charged after he allegedly light a fire at a petrol station.

A man has been charged and faced court after he allegedly lit a fire at a petrol station. 

He allegedly stuffed a paper bag into the service window of a 7-Eleven on Hastings Street in Noosa Heads on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and allegedly set fire to it early Thursday morning. 

Store owner Selina Huang uploaded the disturbing CCTV to Facebook, alleging the man also harassed her staff. 

‘This guy set a fire on my night pay window to harass my staff last night,’ she wrote. 

‘What’s wrong with people nowadays?’

The video shows the man standing outside emptying out the night window drawer before he stuffs a paper bag into it and allegedly set fire to it with a lighter. 

The footage also shows the 7-Eleven protected by sandbags in preparation for Cyclone Alfred.

Queensland Police arrested the Wishart man, 46, at the scene and charged him with commit public nuisance and endangering particular property by fire.

The man from Brisbane’s south was bailed to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on March 28.

No one was injured in the alleged incident.
