Biden's Excellent African Adventure

Biden is on a world tour, and almost nobody seems to know it.

As world leaders work to ingratiate themselves with the incoming Trump administration–Trump is being welcomed to the grand reopening of Notre Dame in France as a head of state–Biden is wandering around the Southern Hemisphere pretending to remain relevant.

Last month Biden became the first president to visit the Amazon rainforest while in office (Teddy Roosevelt almost got himself killed traversing the forest in the last century), and managed to embarrass himself by wandering off as Brazilians shook gourds to drown out the questions from the media.

This month Biden is visiting Africa to assure them that United States is vitally interested in the continent–China has been making deals left and right to lock in access to resources, and Biden suddenly discovered in the last weeks of his presidency that this actually matters.

Unfortunately, Biden is as with it in Africa as he was in Brazil. While as far as we know Biden remained awake while communing with the gods of rain, he didn’t manage to while listening to African leaders blather on about something or another.

To be honest, I, too would probably have wanted to take a nap as some leader or another blathered on for hours in a speech that could have been summarized as “Give me some money.” Especially since Biden did precisely that already, why bother with the pretend speeches about development and world peace?

While Biden is PINO (president in name only), he can still do real damage to America. He technically still has the power to spend our tax dollars, start World War III, and undermine Trump’s DOGE by signing contracts with public employees.

Biden is going to spend the next 7 weeks doing everything he can to puff himself up (normal enough) and to put obstacles in Trump’s way.

The American people rejected Bidenism, and the least Joe could do is spend the last few weeks of his administration flying around the world embarrassing himself rather than placing land mines in Trump’s path.

But that isn’t the Biden way. He is going to enjoy his world tour, sure. But he is also going to give the big F-you to the American people by locking in policies that have been decisively rejected by the voters.

Which, come to think of it, is very Joe Biden.
