The daughter of comedian Fiona O’Loughlin has hit back at an Indigenous musician who accused her of making racist jokes during her own stand-up show, claiming he doesn’t have a sense of humour.
Biddy O’Loughlin, 36, recently posted a clip of a segment she performed earlier this month where she poked fun at an Aboriginal woman’s comments about beer and cracked a joke about a traditional place name and methylated spirits.
The stand-up performer has since deleted hundreds of threats and angry comments.
Indigenous musician Isaac Compton called out Ms O’Loughlin, saying: ‘Another comedian thinking they are being edgy but instead, they are just recycling the racist narrative that Aboriginal people are alcoholics.
‘Her jokes aren’t new.’
Ms O’Loughlin fired back claiming she was the victim of a ‘pile on’ and shared an Instagram exchange with Mr Compton where she told him: ‘I’m not apologising for a joke.’
Ms O’Loughlin, a single mother of one, who was raised in Alice Springs with her four siblings, insisted that she does not judge people on the colour of their skin, only the content of their character.

She also fired back at critics’ claims she had used her mother’s fame to start her own comedy career.
Ms O’Loughlin insisted she made her own way – even taking a long career break to protect her mother.
‘I was getting paid within 18 months of starting stand up in Ireland. Nobody knew who my mother was,’ she posted in now-deleted comments.
‘I came back to Australia and stopped doing comedy for nine years because I didn’t want to hurt her ego.
‘Oh and I went to live in Ireland because I felt I couldn’t live in Australia. I had a bad case of white guilt. But I have grown up now.
‘People shouldn’t be judged by the colour of their skin but the content of their character. These are jokes.’
It is not the first time Ms O’Loughlin has caused offence with minority groups.
She was due to perform at the Cranker Comedy show on October 15 at the Crown & Anchor Hotel in Adelaide but was kicked off the line-up following a complaint made by a pub staff member.

Biddy O’Loughlin previously said she had been cancelled from a comedy show because of her views and jokes about trans people
It’s understood the complaint was made regarding comedy material and social media comments about people who identify as transgender.
‘I know some of the bartenders see me as a TERF (Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist) but I don’t consider myself a feminist,’ she said at the time.
Ms O’Loughlin’s Instagram involves clips of her making jokes about trans women, along with photos of her in a red cap with the slogan ‘Make Women Female Again’, a reference to Donald Trump’s ‘Make America Great Again’ catchphrase.
‘Fighting for you, ladies. And for your daughters,’ she captioned one photo.
Daily Mail Australia contacted Ms O’Loughlin for comment.
