Customers of Bendigo Bank are unable to access their money

Bendigo Bank’s app and internet banking have been impacted by an outage this afternoon – stopping many from making online transactions.

Affected customers have been unable to make purchases during the busy lunchtime period on Thursday afternoon because they were unable to transfer money between accounts.

Bendigo Bank shared a statement with its customers on social media on Thursday, explaining it was aware of the outage and was working to restore the services.

‘We are aware of an issue affecting e-banking and the app. Our technology teams are looking into this. We will update you further on this post as we learn more.’

Many Aussies were not impressed with the outage.

‘Great, trying to get to radiation treatment and again I can not transfer money to get there …not happy,’ one said.

‘That’s officially the nail in the coffin for me,’ a second added.

A third said: ‘I have been with this bank for 16 years and I am so sick of this continuously happening. Moving to another bank TODAY!’

‘Wasted my free time unable to get groceries was out to get. And you lot in banking want to go cashless, what a joke,’ a third said.
