Rebecca Judd has slammed Melbourne as ‘woke, broke and violent’ after residents were encouraged to put Apple Airtags in their cars amid a crimewave in the city.
The footy WAG, who lives in $7.3million mansion in Brighton, was drawn to comment on an interview between 3AW radio’s Jacqui Felgate and Sandringham Liberal MP, Brad Rowswell.
During the talk, Mr Rowswell was asked about a rise in violent crime in Melbourne’s suburbs.
The MP was asked about a suggestion at a community safety forum in Beaumaris last Thursday that residents consider placing Airtag trackers inside their cars in case they are stolen – something Judd took issue with.
‘Melbourne this is sad. Woke, broke and violent. I can’t believe we are living like this,’ Judd wrote online.

Rebecca Judd has caused a firestorm after she wrote on Instagram: ‘Melbourne this is sad. Woke, broke and violent. I can’t believe we are living like this’ in response to an interview between 3AW radio’s Jacqui Felgate and Sandringham Liberal MP, Brad Rowswell
The statement sparked social media users to weigh in on their opinions, with many supporting Judd on X.
‘Bec Judd speaks the truth’ wrote one person, while another agreed, ‘Bec Judd may be an influencer. But she is spot on regards ‘woke, broke and violent’.
‘For anyone living in Melbourne, they know what Bec Judd is saying is’ someone else agreed.
‘Accurate, the fact people put more focus on who is delivering the message than the message itself, says more about them than her’ said another.
‘Never thought I’d agree with Bec Judd… how’s Labour’s police force? “Just leave the keys on the bench”… why do the whacky left support crime’ wrote one more.

‘Bec Judd, the notoriously hard working, boot strappy *checks notes* Wife of a multi-millionaire ex-professional athlete’ joked one.
‘Some cutting edge analysis from respected criminologist Bec Judd’ mocked another.
‘If my viewpoints aligned with someone like Bec Judd I would have to take a long hard look at myself in the mirror’ someone else wrote.
‘I’ve lost count how many times we’re heard right-winger Bec Judd whinge about Melbourne. It’s so predictable and boring. *yawn* And apparently she’s not even in Melbourne at the moment, she’s in Paris’ said another.

Bec’s comments come after the latest outbreak of violence in Melbourne this weekend. A woman was allegedly been stabbed by a trio of knifemen who are still on the run after allegedly robbing three supermarkets and stealing a car
‘I’m most amused that anyone would care one iota about the opinion of Bec Judd. I’d rather listen to my cat’s opinion on her favourite crunchies’ someone else posted.

Police are hunting for three young men who are believed to be travelling around Melbourne’s outer suburbs in a stolen white Mercedes hatchback.
The men first targeted an IGA supermarket on Bernard Street in Cheltenham, 26km south of the CBD, where they leapt the counter and assaulted a worker at 4pm.

It is reported that the same men headed to a Dockendorff grocer on Cochran Street in Brighton 9.8km away after that for a second robbery at 4:30pm.
Detectives from the Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit are interviewing staff from the grocer where at least three workers are believed to have been assaulted.
A young female staffer is understood to have been stabbed during the incident and is being treated at the scene for minor injuries.
A third supermarket in Burwood is also believed to have been targeted by the men.
Amid the crime wave, Victoria Police acting superintendent Martin Bourke suggested residents place Apple AirTags in their cars, so that they can be tracked more easily when stolen.

Judd has a long history of speaking out on issues that she feels effect her home state.
In March, she called out Victoria Premier Jacinta Allan after a home invasion in her well-heeled Bayside suburb left an elderly man fighting for his life.
Three offenders broke into a home in Beaumaris, a stone’s throw from Judd’s $7.3million Brighton mansion, about 1.30am on Monday.
‘A 74-year-old man home at the time was significantly assaulted and was subsequently transported to hospital in a critical condition,’ a spokesperson for Victoria Police said.

In June 2022, Rebecca said she felt ‘unsafe’ in her mansion and that she was ‘so sick of the rapes, bashings and home invasions at the hands of the gangs in Bayside’
His wife, 75, who was also at home at the time, was not injured. Nothing was believed to be stolen.
Influencer and model Judd, who lives with her husband Chris and their four children, shared a news report of the story.
‘Just another night in Victoria (yes, this is Bayside again but we know this happens everywhere),’ Judd told her Instagram followers.
‘Jacinta Allan how are you still avoiding this? Let’s see how many of the alleged offenders are out on bail… Thoughts are with the victim in ICU and his poor wife.’
Judd, 41, has persistently called on the Victorian government to do more to tackle crime in Melbourne.
In June 2022, Rebecca said she felt ‘unsafe’ in her mansion and that she was ‘so sick of the rapes, bashings and home invasions at the hands of the gangs in Bayside’.
‘I personally know two women who have experienced home invasions in Brighton in the last few weeks while they were at home,’ she said.

Last year she doubled down on her claim that Melbourne’s elite suburbs are under siege by criminals and ‘machete-wielding thugs’, calling for changes to youth offending laws
She also reposted CCTV footage of a gang of young men lurking outside properties in her affluent suburb and claimed it made her feel ‘unsafe’.

The footy WAG has continually demanded Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan ‘fix the system’.
In March, she had her demands validated by evidence after state opposition Liberal MP James Newbury posted crime statistics outlining that there are 16 home invasions each day in Victoria, and a 43 per cent increase in aggravated burglaries in Bayside.
‘Pretty sure someone warned the government about this in 2022 and was rubbished,’ Rebecca commented.
‘They didn’t care then and they don’t care now. This is a Vic wide issue and not just Bayside.’
Bec resides in a $7.3 million Spanish colonial mansion in Brighton, Melbourne.
She and her husband Chris share four children; daughter Billie, nine, son Oscar, 12, and twins Darcy and Tom, seven.
