Well, we all know the competitive madness of the virtue-signaling world that is the progressive loony bin. That he who is talked about the mostest, gets the mostest views, clicks, comments, whatever, wins, and is crowned they/them for a day.
These sub-humans will jump on whatever seems to be the current thing sucking up air on their 20% side of the 80/20 divide in the country, and go hell bent for leather to outdo each other doing it.
Today’s word is an F-bomb?! Why, if Chuck Schumer tentatively drops one and it makes the news, the next wanna be rebel either throws three into the mix with wild arm wavings, à la Beto, or shouts it as loud as they can while stabbing an air finger dangerously into the ozone, à la Spartacus.
It’s all performative intensification that lather, rinses, and repeats the next day or next ginned-up faux outrage.
We’ve seen it with everything from the price of eggs to constitutional crisis and in between – the collective moaning of the progressive Borg in unison once a theme is chosen.
Ever since Trump took office, though, there has been one constant refrain running through the ranks of the Democratic Party in one form or another, and that is that enforcing the law is ‘bad.’ This is again another example of their strict ideological adhesion to the 20% side of American opinion. Hard as it is to believe, the vast majority of Americans believe the law is ‘good,’ enforcing laws is even better, and suffering consequences for breaking those laws is the best of all worlds.
As the country cheers a closed border, ICE raids, deportation flights, Alligator Alcatraz construction, and federal law enforcement on the streets of our nation’s capital, Democrats and progressives are flying to visit human traffickers in foreign prisons, banging drums in D.C.’s streets…

For instance, making sure completely discredited crime statistics are broadcast far and wide in an effort to completely discredit this crazy notion where Dictator Trump has claimed that crime is out of control in Washington, D.C.

Along these anti-law enforcement lines, in an extraordinary display of malfeasance, malevolent defamation, delusion, and literary license, The Daily Beast decided to play along and turn its sights on Ron DeSantis, law enforcement boogieman extraordinaire.
Now, they hate him for a million reasons, and his law-and-order schtick is right up at the top, but whatever mah-roon at the rag who greenlighted this article from an intern?

I hadn’t been aware my governor – who, to be honest, we’re all pretty fond of – had been wantonly slaughtering my fellow veterans. Didn’t seem like his style. He’s usually pretty low-key.
The cri de coeur from the Beast is based on a blurb from something called the Miami New Times, which quotes a veterans group opposing capital punishment imposed on veterans.
…Yet, under his watch, the Sunshine State has executed five veterans. More than two dozen remain on death row, and one of them — 67-year-old Kayle Bates — is set to be put to death on August 19, according to a letter from a group of veterans urging the governor to end executions of former service members.
The Beast goes wholesale into advocating for these ‘veterans’…
…Nearly 30 veterans are sitting on death row, waiting for execution, including 67-year-old Kayle Bates who is set to be killed on Aug. 19. The letter implores DeSantis to prevent Bates’ death.
“We write to you today as fellow veterans. We write to you to highlight a disturbing trend, and one that only you have the power to correct,” the letter begins.
During DeSantis’ term, five veterans have been executed: Bobby Joe Long, Duane Owen, Edward James, Jeffrey Hutchinson, and Edward Zakrzewski. Bates is set to become the tenth on Aug. 19, followed by Curtis Windom on Aug. 28.
…who, well, I dunno, must have done something kind of bad to wind up on *checks notes* DEATH ROW, wouldn’t you think?

They do mention the minor transgressions of one, late, unlamented fellow…who killed three children and their mother.
…Hutchinson, a 62-year-old veteran with severe mental problems, was executed in May for the murders of his girlfriend and her three children. His lawyer said during his trial that he suffered from serious health problems from the war in Iraq, post-traumatic stress disorder, and paranoia. He long claimed that he was innocent and pointed to conspiracy theories to explain the murders.
I’m not feelin’ this one. Not sorry.
…Court records, however, showed that on the night of the killings in Crestview, Hutchinson argued with his girlfriend, 32-year-old Renee Flaherty, then packed his clothes and guns into a truck. Hutchinson went to a bar and drank beer, telling staff there that Flaherty was angry with him before leaving abruptly.
A short time later, a male caller told a 911 operator, “I just shot my family” from the house Hutchinson and Flaherty shared with the three children: 9-year-old Geoffrey, 7-year-old Amanda and 4-year-old Logan. All were killed with a 12-gauge shotgun that was found on a kitchen counter. Hutchinson was located by police in the garage with a phone still connected to the 911 center and gunshot residue on his hands.
But I’m willing to look at another one of the cases where, because he was a ‘veteran,’ bloodthirsty DeSantis should have spared him, or so The Beast says.

Bobby Joe Long
Serial killer Bobby Joe Long brutally murdered 10 women in 1984. He was executed in May 2019.
Born in West Virginia in 1953, Bobby Joe Long endured a troubled childhood. In the early 1980s, he raped dozens of women after using newspaper ads to find victims. He began an eight-month killing spree in 1984, and was arrested that November after allowing one potential victim to go free. Long received two death sentences, but his execution has been delayed by several appeals.
The one who got away became a policewoman because of her horrific experience.
One last try because I am nothing if not fair-mine…FUGGEDABOUDIT.

…Upon the arrival of his wife and children back home, Zakrzewski first attacked his wife. He struck her multiple times with the crowbar, then used the rope to strangle her. Afterwards, Zakrzewski targeted his children. First he called Kim into the bathroom to brush his teeth, then struck the seven-year-old boy repeatedly with the machete. Next, he summoned his five-year-old daughter, Anna, to brush her teeth and killed her in similar fashion.[4][5]
Autopsy results showed that both the children had wounds on their arms and hands that were consistent with defensive wounds; Kim and Anna died from severe head, neck, and back injuries from the machete. Zakrzewski later dragged Sylvia’s body into the bathroom, where he further mutilated her with the machete to ensure she was dead. Sylvia also died from both sharp-force and blunt-force injuries.[4][5] Furthermore, the medical examiner, Dr. Edward Harvard, found that when Sylvia was strangled with the rope, she was still alive despite sustaining a fractured skull and at least eight machete blows to her back.[6]
This certainly explains why the intern, besides being internish, might not have included the particulars of these ‘veterans’ sad tales of woe in her anti-DeSantis screed.

As if ‘veterans’ rate dispensations for being psychopaths. That Zakrewski POS was on active duty and didn’t have so much a bump on the head from any combat injury. His ‘stress’ was from his wife wanting a divorce.
But he still had it in his evil depths to do THAT. To perform multiple sick acts of barbarous torture on his wife and precious children, and The Beast is seeking to elicit sympathy for him purely in order to smear and defame DeSantis?
I tell you what – when these scummy, rabid, depraved tools of the progressive movement decide to go all in on attacks, Katy bar the door.
No depths of the 20% sewer they now inhabit are too low to go, and any serial murderer, child-slicer, crowbar-basher, or strangler with a DD-214 is worthy of sainthood if it gets them their Spartacus moment. It’s easy to leave out the messy details.
I will leave you with the quote at the end of the article. In typical prog fashion, I do not believe they realize how perfectly it destroys their entire piece because, with that single exception, the piece never mentions murder at all for any of these purported death row angels.
…When reached for comment, DeSantis’ Communications Director Alex Lanfranconi told the Daily Beast after publication: “A simple trick to avoid execution in Florida is to not murder people.”
