‘Bachelorette’ alum Ali Fedotowsky reveals husband Kevin is diagnosed with ‘treatable’ thyroid cancer

“Bachelorette” alum Ali Fedotowsky and her husband, Kevin Manno, announced that he has been diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer.

“Thankfully it’s a very treatable cancer. He has 2 malignant spots on his right side and it appears it is also in one lymph node, but we won’t know for sure until his surgery,” the couple captioned a video message shared to Instagram Sunday.

They explained that they are currently weighing their options on whether to have Manno’s thyroid partially or fully removed.

“If the surgeon gets in there and determines the whole thing has to be removed regardless, we will of course move forward with that,” they added in the joint post.

“But going into the surgery, he has a choice to be aggressive or leave half if possible.”

In the video clip, Manno, 41, emphasized that they always try to be “very open and honest” with their followers, which is why they chose to go public with his medical diagnosis after a CT scan.

“We don’t want to downplay what cancer is and what it means to so many people, however the prognosis is very good,” they said.

“It looks good,” the radio DJ added. “February 10th is the surgery and we’re going to knock it out and it’ll be behind us.”

Fedotowsky, 40, playfully said that Manno can be “too positive” about his condition, to which he justified is because that’s “where I need my mind to be.”

The former “Bachelor” contestant shared that Manno’s oncologist told him that papillary thyroid cancer is “the cancer you want to get” due to its treatable nature.

“He called it a boring cancer,” Fedotowsky said. “That’s good! That’s what you want to hear!”

The pair concluded the caption by expressing gratitude for their followers and supporters.

“We’re going to knock it out and it’ll be behind us,” Manno said of his upcoming surgery. @ali.manno/Instagram
