Bachelor runner-up Brooke Cleal reveals she’s in a same-sex relationship… just weeks after winner Holly Kingston wed Jimmy Nicholson

The Bachelor star Brooke Cleal has revealed she’s in a same-sex relationship.

The runner-up in Jimmy Nicholson’s season of the reality TV hit took to Instagram on Sunday to debut her relationship with Alyssa Viktoria.

The reality TV star, 29, shared several loved-up photos of the couple, including them holding hands in London and sharing a kiss.

In a caption Brooke acknowledged, ‘the struggles I have experienced behind the scenes and the progression I’ve made within myself and my sexuality in the last 2 years.’

She added, ‘I’ve been so torn between excitement and fear for months, mostly worried of rejection and scrutiny for the second time in my life. The suppression of my feelings caused sleepless nights and significant frustration and questions.’

Cleal also addressed questions she’d received about if she had questioned her sexuality while vying for Nicholson’s heart on The Bachelor.

‘People have asked me if I knew about this before the show – the truth is perhaps it was always there without acknowledgement, understanding or exploration,’ she wrote.

Reflecting on her new romance, Brooke wrote, ‘As soon as I met [Alyssa] she had this energy so individualistic, I just magnetised.’

‘Full of fun, charisma, intellect and wit continuing to leave me speechless. I’ve found someone to slow down with and share something so real,’ she added. 

Brooke concluded, ‘you inspire me every single second of the day and I’m so in awe with you!’

The big reveal comes just weeks after Jimmy Nicholson wed Brooke’s Bachelor rival Holly Kingston.

The couple, who met on season nine of the Channel 10 series in 2021, wed at Jimmy’s parents home in Sydney’s Palm Beach in the first week of August.   

Jimmy famously broke Brooke’s heart in the 2021 show finale, telling her, ‘There was just too many unknowns for us,’ before sending her home in tears.

‘That was tough to watch. Brooke is an amazing girl,’ the pilot later told The Project, adding that he and winner Holly were planning to give her a call.

‘It was pretty heartbreaking then. Watching it last night was rough. I’ve been wanting to reach out to Brooke; we both have.’

Jimmy went on: ‘We need to give her space and I think in the future, I’d love to send her a message [to] make sure she’s okay.’
