New South Wales has reclaimed the top spot for the most Division One lottery prizes in Australia, with the state racking up 122 wins worth more than $450 million.

The suburb of Dapto, bearing the postcode 2530, was also named the luckiest in country after four division one winning lottery entries were sold there.

An analysis of lottery data from official holder The Lott has revealed the luckiest postcodes in each state of Australia.

After Dapto, the second luckiest postcodes included 4211 of Nerang / Pacific Pines in Queensland, followed by Melbourne, Doreen, Mernda, Broadmeadows and Dallas.

Across the country, there was just about one millionaire a day, with winners taking home more than $1.32 billion in Division One prize money.

When broken down by state, Victorians won an astounding $376.8 million followed by Western Australia $214 million, Queensland 163 million, South Australia $67 million, Tasmania $53 million and the Northern Territory $3 million.

The new figures come ahead of this week’s $50 million Powerball draw.
