Aussie world champion and gold medal-wining swimmer Kyle Chalmers has announced his bombshell plan to retire from the sport after next year’s Paris Olympics, when he’ll be just 26 years old.
Speaking on radio on Wednesday morning, he said, ‘This will be the last Olympics for me … I’ll be 26.

‘I’m the oldest in the marshalling room. I’ll be old and ready to start the next chapter of my life.’
Chalmers is coming off a triumphant turn at the World Swimming Championships in Japan last month, where he won the 100m freestyle to go with his Olympic gold and silver medals.
