An Aussie mum has revealed the simple act she performed while taking care of her kids on an international flight that made her ill for almost a week.
Influencer Indy Clinton and her husband Ben Azar recently flew from Fiji to Australia with their three young children.
However when one of the kids’ dummies fell on the plane floor, Indy decided to ‘clean it with her mouth’ before returning it to her child, according to her Instagram Stories.
The 27-year-old said she believe that one action caused her to become violently ill.
‘I fell [like death], wrote the social media star on Monday, before adding that she now had ‘fever and chills’ for ‘the 5th night’ in a row.
‘Don’t clean you child’s dummies with your mouth when they fall on the plane floor,’ Clinton advised her followers.
She then joked that ‘the best thing about whatever I’ve caught from the plane floor is that I have lost my appetite.’
Clinton was criticised on social media earlier this week after she posted a chaotic video of herself and her family on the plane on her TikTok account.

In the clip, the couple’s children were seen climbing all over them and making a lot of noise.
Indy also complained about her kids dropping their pacifiers on the floor and moaned about the size of aircraft.
At one point, Ben was filmed walking up and down the cabin’s aisle barefoot as he tried to rock one of their children to sleep.
Users took to Reddit to blast the mummy blogger for her behaviour.
‘Anyone else annoyed at her lack of respect and consideration for other people on a flight by letting her annoying, loud and unhinged kids run an absolute muck?’ one ranted.
‘How bloody annoying for all the passengers. She’s got air for brains not like she would even dare consider those around her and their frustrations. I’m frustrated for them just watching the videos. Selfish brat she is.’
‘The complaining about the size of the plane got me, like Qantas has a personal vendetta against her and sent their smallest plane. Heaven forbid she has to fly on a normal-sized plane in economy,’ read another reply.
‘Wow prayers to millionaire Indy for having to take a 5 hour flight, with the help of her husband, with the kids she chose to have, from another paid trip to paradise. How will she recover? Is there any way we can donate? A Gofundme?’ one said sarcastically.
‘The father picks the slack up because he carts some sort of parent guilt. As I said before she’s like a 14 year old raising babies,’ wrote someone else.

Other Redditors were more sympathetic, insisting that flying with children is difficult at the best of times.
‘Flying with kids is hard. Most people on that flight had kids she said, I assume most of them were doing the same thing,’ one wrote.
While another replied: ‘I was on a flight recently with my child with plenty of other children I can tell you right now not one of them behaved that way.’
Meanwhile, comments on the original video warned Ben about walking barefoot on a plane.
‘As cabin crew I highly recommend you do not walk on the airplane in your bare feet. You don’t want to know the stuff been on that floor and not cleaned properly,’ one follower said.
‘So probably don’t give your child their dummy after it drops on the floor,’ another fan replied.
‘I love you guys but I could never walk on an airplane without shoes. My anxiety!’ wrote another follower.
Indy has over 1.9million followers on TikTok and was crowned Australia’s TikTok creator of the year in 2024.
She shares three children with husband Ben – son Navy, three, daughter Bambi, one, and daughter Soul, eight months.
