It’s the second weekend in a row vegan activist Tash Peterson has confronted Fyre Restaurant celebrity chef John Mountain, after he banned vegans from his business following a negative review left by a plant-based diner.
Mountain confronted the activists playing sounds of squealing pigs outside his restaurant before being tackled by an undercover security guard.
“It’s good that she’s fighting for her cause but to be honest I’m the wrong person to fight with, it’s not working,” he said.
Peterson claimed the chef was “throwing” her around.
“We’re not going after this restaurant because they’re banning vegans — yes that was maybe a reason that instigated it — but at the end of the day it’s because this man is profiting from animal abuse and murder and he’s also glamourising it,” she said.
Police started investigating after Peterson filed a report with attending officers, but Mountain said he was prepared for a legal fight
.”Do I think I crossed the line? Absolutely, probably yes, but again, I would stand by my convictions,” he said.

“I protected my premises, I protected my business and I protected my staff and customers.
Mountain said he didn’t care if he was charged with assault.
“I’ll stand up in court seven days a week,” he said.
Despite the disruption outside, diners continued with their dinner.
