Retired tennis icon Ash Barty and husband Garry Kissick have welcomed their first child, a boy named Hayden.
Kissick announced the news with an adorable photo of the newborn alongside the caption, “Our beautiful boy. Welcome to the world, Hayden!”.
“2023 set to be the best year yet. We are so excited for our new adventure,” Barty captioned her post.
“Origi already the protective big sister.”
The news came six months after the tennis star and the golfer married in Queensland.

Barty and Kissick tied the knot in July 2022, the wedding coming six years after their chance meeting at the Brookwater Golf and Country Club in Queensland.
The couple kept their relationship out of the spotlight for months before going public in 2017.
Prior to her retirement from tennis in 2022, Barty spoke fondly of Kissick’s support throughout her stellar sporting career.
“He’s the best person to have around in the sense of switching off from tennis and being able to bring the fun and laughter when we are training and not be so serious all the time,” she told Vogue.
“I certainly wouldn’t want to share this journey with anyone else.”
