A man has been arrested and is expected to be charged with murder after a 23-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death at his home in Adelaide‘s north.
Dakota Woodford was allegedly attacked at his home on Henry Street, Paralowie just before 7am, where his grandparents found him critically injured.
He was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital but died a short time later.
“We believe the victim may have been stabbed and that is the line of enquiry at this stage,” Superintendent Julie Thomas from South Australia Police said today.
No one else was injured during the incident but others were home at the time.
A short time later a 27-year-old man from Sheidow Park was arrested across the city, “in the vicinity of Trott Park”, Thomas said.
“We suspect they are known to each other. We can’t establish why he was here this morning,” she added.
”It’s very early in the investigation and any motive will form part of the investigation.”
Crime scene detectives and forensic specialists have been at the scene since this morning.
They were seen examining blood stains on the driveway and marking out points of interest around the front of the property.
Police also bagged evidence as they searched the scene for a weapon.
The 27-year-old is cooperating with police and is expected to be charged with murder.
