A new app from Rollin, a subsidiary of the insurance giant IAG, rewards motorists with discounts of up to 15 per cent on their car insurance premiums — provided they consent to having their driving monitored.

The Safe n Save app tracks a range of driving behaviours and calculates a “policy score” based on how safely you drive.

Key factors, such as braking, acceleration, speeding, cornering, and phone use while driving, are all considered in the score.

Drivers who achieve a score of 95 or higher are eligible for the maximum 15 per cent discount on their base premium. (Nine)
