ANZ has blamed an outage on a third party vendor after millions of customers were left without access to their app and internet banking services.

The bank, in their latest update, confirmed investigations are continuing.

“We’re currently investigating a technology issue relating to a third party vendor,” ANZ said in a social media statement.

“This has affected customers accessing some systems including the ANZ App, Internet Banking and ANZ Transactive Global.”

ANZ said access to the app and global services came back online about 2.45pm.

“We continue our work to resolve this as soon as possible and apologise for the inconvenience,” the bank said.

“The ANZ Plus app, Phone Banking, ATMs and EFTPOS facilities continue to be available.”

About 3000 customers have reported an issue with their online banking services since around midday, according to Down Detector.
