Democrats Use the Secret Service Hearing to Push Gun Control

A video was released by anti-Israel activists, that they breached the security at the Watergate Hotel where Bibi Netanyahu is staying, released maggots in the conference room used by the Prime Minister, and succeeded in setting off fire alarms inside.

Netanyahu’s security is provided by the Secret Service.

This is yet another astonishing failure by the Secret Service, and although it pales in comparison with the assassination attempt on Donald Trump, it is bad enough. Prime Minister Netanyahu is a prime target for terrorists and deranged Israel-haters.

This is bizarre, to say the least. The Secret Service is in the midst of perhaps the worst scandal it has faced, certainly up there with the assassination of Kennedy because the cascade of failures was more shocking than a lone gunman hiding along the route. The failure to protect Kennedy was greater, but the failure itself was more understandable.

Now, less than two weeks since that failure the Secret Service has failed once again. It is astonishing and especially worrisome given that once again the failure is centered on a political figure disfavored by the Biden administration.

It’s not as if the Watergate is unsecured. Protesters are kept behind massive fences, so somebody had to let the protesters into the secured area.

I cannot imagine how low the morale at the Secret Service must be right now. The multiple tactical breakdowns at the Trump event were shocking. Now they will be facing scrutiny for yet another massive failure to safeguard another of their protectees. It looks like the perpetrators got into a conference room used by the Prime Minister.

How could this happen? How can we have faith in an agency that cannot do its job?

Under this administration, every government agency is in crisis. The Department of Transportation fails regularly, the IRS is focused on ordinary Americans, the FBI has lost the trust of many of us, and the Department of Defense is focused on diversity.

The lights are on but nobody is home.
