The Angels continued their aggressive trading before Tuesday’s deadline to bolster their lineup for a playoff push.
They acquired infielder C.J. Cron, outfielder Randal Grichuk and cash considerations from the Rockies in exchange for minor league pitchers Mason Albright and Jake Madden.
Colorado will pay half of what’s owed to both Cron and Grichuk as part of the trade, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported.
It has already been a busy time for the Angels, which is in win-now-or-never mode ahead of superstar Shohei Ohtani’s looming free agency.
The Angels had already made a significant move leading up to the trade deadline by adding All-Star starting pitcher Lucas Giolito, and his latest transaction will add to a lineup currently without Mike Trout and Anthony Rendon due to injuries.
Taylor Ward was placed on the 60-day injured list and the Angels DFA’d Kevin Padlo in order to make room on the roster, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Cron has been hitting .260/.304/.476 in 55 games this season, while adding 11 home runs and 32 RBIs.
He is also no stranger to the Angels organization, as they selected him in the 2011 draft and Cron spent his four MLB seasons with the ballclub.

Grichuk is another familiar face returning to the organization.
He was selected ahead of Trout in 2009 by the Angels, but Grichuk never played for Los Angeles.

This season, he has slashed 312/.367/.502, while adding eight home runs and 27 RBIs.
Grichuk missed more than a month to start the season due to bilateral sports hernia surgery.
In July, Grichuk has hit .368, posted a 1.137 OPS and launched six homers.
Both Grichuk and Cron will be free agents this offseason.
The Angels are four games back of the third and final wild card spot in the American League, and they’ve won nine of their last 12 games.
