Andrew Cuomo teaming up with black leaders to challenge progressives

Former Gov. Cuomo is teaming up with black leaders to challenge woke progressives in New York City and around the country.

The disgraced former governor was forced from office after a dozen women accused him of sexual misconduct, but is taking on a second act with the The National Black Empowerment Action Fund — which will launch Monday.

“The National Black Empowerment Action Fund is an organization that will meet the moment by putting realistic solutions over theoretical ideas and empowering Black people across the country,” Cuomo said. “I am excited to work with NBEAF and other like-minded groups to build a political movement for real progress – not extreme ideology.”

The NBEAF is planning to focus on “grassroots engagement, policy research and advocacy, leadership training, and high-profile issue advocacy campaigns,” in New York City, St. Louis, Atlanta, Detroit, Memphis and Minneapolis, according to early messaging obtained by The Post.

The group plans to spend more more than $1 million to launch “African American metropolitan hubs” in the six cities.

“NBEAF will push back against so-called “progressive” leadership that does not faithfully represent the interests of Black communities on a diversity of important policies, including public safety, housing, education, and more and good-paying jobs,” reads a planned press release.

The group plans to spend more more than $1 million to launch “African American metropolitan hubs” in the six cities.

Reps for the governor said there were no current for any contribution from his $10 million campaign committee “at this time.”

“But we are looking at ways to work together,” they added.
