Amanda Bynes placed on psychiatric hold after being detained by cops

Amanda Bynes has been placed on a mandatory psychiatric hold after being declared a danger to herself and others.

The troubled former child star, 37, was placed on the 5150 hold after she turned herself into police in Los Angeles Saturday morning, according to TMZ.

Bynes purportedly called the cops herself to report that she was in significant distress.

By law, she can now be held against her will for up to 72 hours.

The “She’s The Man” star was placed on a separate psychiatric hold earlier this year after she was spotted wandering naked around downtown LA.

Bynes has spent the past several years struggling with her mental health.

An inside source told TMZ the actress was probably living “on the streets” before her 911 call.
