Almost every state and territory is expected to get some rain over the Easter long weekend, but temperatures will stay mostly warm over the four-day break.

While some states will start the weekend with clear skies, others will be subject to cloudy storm conditions. 

Here’s what the weather will be like around the country from Good Friday to Easter Monday. 

In Sydney, the long weekend is forecast to start with a warm 25-degree day on Good Friday, with light winds and some clouds expected.

Saturday will bring the chance of showers later in the day with sunny but partly cloudy conditions in the morning, hitting a maximum temperature of 25 degrees.

Slightly windy conditions are expected with wind gusts up to 32km/h predicted.

Conditions on Easter Sunday will be similar, with a maximum temperature forecast of 24 degrees, with showers expected early in the morning before overcast conditions are expected to persist throughout the day.

About 6mm is expected to fall on Sunday.

Come Monday, the clouds are expected to clear with a warm and sunny day forecast.

Australian Capital Territory

Similar weather is expected in Canberra.

Friday and Saturday will be a warm 26 degrees with no storms forecast.

Skies will remain clear on Sunday, with a maximum temperature of 24 degrees forecast.

Monday will bring more of the same sunny weather, with no clouds or rain expected.

Brisbane is set to see sunny conditions for the first half of the Easter long weekend before a chance of rain on Sunday and Monday.

Friday and Saturday will be sunny with tops of 26 degrees, there’s a small chance of clouds on Saturday afternoon, but no rain is forecast.

Temperatures will remain high on Sunday before scattered showers are expected in the afternoon.

Showers will continue on Monday, but are expected to pass over the city. 

Melbourne’s long weekend will start with isolated thunderstorms on Friday, with a top temperature of 22 degrees.

The rain will continue into Saturday with a sprinkle of rain and low temperatures of 13 degrees.

The rain will clear up for Easter Sunday and Monday with sunny conditions and temperatures up to 18 degrees.

Adelaide will have equally gloomy weather to start the long weekend.

Friday will bring isolated thunderstorms with a high of 22 degrees, with the wet weather expected to carry over to Saturday morning before clearing in the afternoon.

The clouds should clear completely come Sunday, with sunny weather forecast, with temperatures expected to stay a cool 20 degrees. 

Monday will be mostly sunny, with some cloud coverage expected.

Hobart will also face stormy conditions over the long weekend.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected on both Friday and Saturday, with temperatures expected to stay a chilly 16 degrees on Friday before warming slightly to 20 degrees on Saturday.

While clouds and storms will clear on by Sunday, the temperature is forecast for 16 degrees. 

Monday will bring cloudy weather with no rain.

Temperatures will peak on Friday, reaching 33 degrees with cloudy conditions expected.

Saturday will cool to 29 degrees with partly cloudy conditions before the same conditions persist on Sunday.

Monday will bring the only rain forecast for the city over the weekend, with passing showers expected.

Temperatures will remain a warm 29 degrees. 

Perth’s long weekend will start with sunny and warm weather.

Friday will bring clear skies, with highs of 26 degrees forecast.

Saturday will be similarly warm with some cloud coverage expected before showers rain down on Sunday.

The thunderstorms will be isolated, with the worst of the storm forecast for the morning.
