The man then allegedly then ran away from police while they were searching his car after they had pulled him over on Midway Road, at Elizabeth East.

Witness Samantha Lynch said she could hear police chasing after him.

“I’m in mum’s room watching the cameras, and all of a sudden I hear one of the female officers screaming ‘lock the doors, lock all of your doors’.”

The man was then arrested in Lynch’s backyard. It took six officers to get him into the back of a police car.
