There’ve been tears, laughs and plenty of well-deserved awards on television’s night of nights in Sydney.
An emotional Rebecca Gibney was inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame and Boy Swallows Universe star Felix Cameron teared up as he became one of the youngest ever award winners.

It was a big night for Channel Nine, with Ally Langdon winning her first individual Logie for A Current Affair, delivering a beautiful tribute to her late father-in-law, Mike Willesee.

“I look at those who’ve sat in this chair before me. Right back to my father-in-law at the start of this show, and it will be wonderful if he could have seen the family connection and where that played out, but to Trace, who I love, who is the one who always said that people who don’t like our show don’t know our show,” Langdon said.

“To Mike Munro, Ray Martin, to everyone who has been in this role, thank you, and to just bloody good journalism, thanks, guys.”

Seven’s Larry Emdur won the gold Logie and gave a touching speech and gave a touching and funny speech where he spoke about being Television’s “most axed man” and paid tribute to his fellow nominees, including Nine’s Andy Lee.

Nine’s journalists were also recognised in Best News Coverage or Public Affairs Report for 60 Minutes’ Ben Roberts-Smith: The Truth.

And The Travel Guides team won the Best Lifestyle Program gong.

Netflix’s Boy Swallows Universe had a big night, converting its 10 nominations into five wins – Including 15-year-old Felix Cameron for Best Lead Actor in a Drama.
