Alec Baldwin Scores Another Win In ‘Rust’ Case As Judge Denies Special Prosecutor Request

Actor Alec Baldwin is grateful for all the support he’s received in Montana after filming both “Supercell” and “Rust” there.

The 65-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a screenshot from his new movie, “Supercell,” which featured a quiet release in independent cinemas earlier this year.

Alec Baldwin Is ‘Grateful’ For Support He Received Filming ‘Supercell’ and ‘Rust’ In Montana

On Monday, the “30 Rock” actor took to Instagram to share a screenshot of himself in a cowboy hat from his 2023 movie “Supercell.” The film, which also features the late “Volcano” actress Anne Heche, also featured Baldwin in a cowboy hat for most of the film.

The synopsis of the movie reads: “In order to follow the footsteps of his father who was a legendary storm chaser, a teenage boy leaves his mother and runs away from his home.”

In the caption, Baldwin revealed that he also filmed “Supercell” in Montana. They filmed several shots in Billings, which is located in southern Montana along the Yellowstone River. “Rust” is currently being filmed at the Yellowstone Film Ranch just outside of Bozeman, Montana.

“We filmed SUPERCELL in Billings. Now outside of Bozeman to complete RUST. Montana is stunning,” Baldwin wrote in the caption. “I’m grateful for all of the support I have received here.” Many fans took to the comments to express support for the actor, who was recently cleared of criminal charges for the October 2021 shooting of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Fans Express Support For Baldwin As He Resumes Filming ‘Rust’

The charges against Baldwin were dismissed without prejudice, which means that they could be refiled as Santa Fe special prosecutors continue their investigation. However, many fans took to the comments of his latest post to express support for the actor, with one fan writing, “We’re all behind you, Alec.”

“You are a good human. So happy for you and your family and the peace you deserve,” another follower wrote. “It was an unfortunate accident and I believe your dealing with the trauma of the event has been life-altering forever. God Bless and keep you,” a third fan chimed in. “Yellowstone country! There’s a place you could escape to with the family for sure!” another follower wrote.

“You are a great actor. Don’t let that accident stop you. It is so sad that she died and others were injured. But creativity must go on,” another fan added, referring to director Joel Souza, who had been standing behind Halyna Hutchins when she was shot. He was hospitalized in the incident but has returned to finish filming “Rust” along with many of the cast and crew members.

On Saturday, only one day after the involuntary manslaughter charges were officially dropped, photographs from the “Rust” set in Montana showed the 65-year-old actor holding a shotgun. He passed the firearm to another crew member handle first but did not appear to use it for the scene, as per TMZ.

A few days later, the New York Post reported that Baldwin was surrounded by no less than six crew members as he attempted to mount a horse. The crew members assisted him in climbing up a small set of stairs before he was able to swing his leg over and properly mount the horse.

Baldwin was dressed in his Western costume, which included a brown overcoat, leather boots, and a cowboy hat. Fans who follow him and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, on Instagram, have seen that the actor has been growing out his beard for quite some time.

Baldwin Misses A Milestone While Filming In Montana

On Monday, the Boston native took to Instagram to share a video of their daughter Ilaria Catalina Irena Baldwin, who was born on September 22, 2022. Although she just turned seven months old, Alec was away filming in Montana and missed the milestone.

“ilaria catalina irena: 7 months of bringing happy to us. You and your siblings are guiding lights and such blessings,” Hilaria wrote in the caption. “The Dedes (Edu and Lu) feel responsible to be your translators: ‘baby no like food! Baby no like it!’”

“It’s taking a min to get you to like solids…but we anticipate a lifetime filled with amazing meals with you,” she added. “Your facial expressions of surprise and disgust are cutely epic. We promise you: food is good!!!”
